Postpartum Support
The first few months after your baby is born can be both exciting and chaotic. But chaos does not have to ensue. Since 2014, Blissful Birthing’s professional postpartum doulas have helped bring a sense of calm to the homes of new families. Whether you are looking to gain confidence in caring for your baby or you want to catch up on sleep so you can be at your best for your baby, our doulas are here to help. We tailor our shifts to best meet the ever-changing needs of your family.
We understand that postpartum needs are different for every family, so we do not require you to purchase a minimum number of shifts. We have worked with families whose support needs have ranged from two nights through six months. Our Family Care Coordinator will work with your budget to set up a support schedule that works for your family’s needs.
Advanced booking is strongly suggested to guarantee availability and lock-in prices; most of the families Blissful Birthing works with book during their second trimester but you can book anytime through 4 weeks before your due date.
Daytime Support – from $240
Blissful Birthing’s postpartum doulas can help you gain confidence in caring for your newborn, teach you how to swaddle your baby like a pro, prepare a meal, provide guidance with babywearing, do the baby’s laundry, and watch your baby so you can spend time with your older children*.
Daytime and evening support also includes infant feeding and weaning support, if desired. Our doulas are well-versed in breastfeeding, pumping, and formula feeding, and can provide you with guidance and helpful suggestions.
Daytime shifts are available Monday – Friday.
Evening shifts are available Monday – Thursday.
Overnight shifts are available Sunday – Thursday. * Sibling care, if requested, is limited to one hour per shift.
Overnight Support – from $540
Blissful Birthing Postpartum Doulas understand that restorative sleep is essential for your recovery and overall well-being. Our mission is to help both you and your baby get the rest you need.
Routines are key to healthy sleep. Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, your doula will work with you to maximize your rest, helping you wake up feeling refreshed. We provide guidance on overnight and daytime schedules tailored to your family—including support for multiples and preemies—so your baby reaches your sleep goals sooner.
Starting at $540/night for one baby and $720/night for twins.
Overnight shifts are from 9:00pm until 6:00am, only.

Babies don’t always arrive on their due dates! So, Blissful Birthing guarantees coverage, but cannot guarantee the placement of a particular doula. If a family requests our Family Care Coordinator to work specific shifts, they will be billed at a rate of $75 per hour for daytime or overnights with one baby, and $90 per hour for overnights with twins.
Blissful Birthing has a reputation for providing exceptional postpartum support to families. While we do our best to accommodate all scheduling requests, most families invest in postpartum support months in advance. Booking requests with fewer than 4 weeks until delivery are accepted based on availability and will incur a late contracting fee of $300.
A 5% processing fee will be assessed to invoices paid via FSA, HSA, credit, or debit cards.
Blissful Birthing does not currently accept Carrot Fertility Benefits.
